- Remove a cover from a shaft, - the cover in case of need subject to replacement can be cut simply off.

- Check up a hinge condition, in case of need make its replacement (Check of a condition and replacement of hinges of equal angular speeds (the SHRUS) see). Having washed out the hinge, completely remove from it traces of old greasing, then fill its fresh greasing of demanded type.

- Plant on a shaft an internal collar of fastening of a cover
|
|
- Then put on a new cover so that it was fixed in a shaft flute by the narrow sleeve.
|
|
- Fill the hinge greasing of demanded type, the greasing rests squeeze out in a cover.
- Plant on a shaft the hinge, - do not forget to replace a lock ring and to track its reliability защелкивания in a reception flute.
- Pull a cover on the hinge and let out from under it air, having hooked a screw-driver external edge.

- Fix a cover new collars. Using ring collars, put on a collar a cover and pull together it with the help кусачек. Experts Opel recommend use of the special tool though at accurate use кусачки work not worse. At use of collars of bandage type, wrap up a collar round a cover, preliminary having greased it молибденсодержащей with greasing, tighten as it is possible туже and hook on a ledge on one end of a collar for an aperture in other. In end tighten a collar, having squeezed free P-shaped section кусачками, trying not to damage a cover.
