The electric fan receives a food from the storage battery. The structure of an electric contour of the fan includes a protective safety lock, the switch of ignition and the relay (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head). The control of functioning of the fan carries out the electronic block of management leaning against the data, temperatures of a cooling liquid arriving from the gauge. The management block is located at the left under a forward spoiler, behind a forward bumper. |

- For check of serviceability of functioning of the fan start the engine and warm up it on single turns to normal working temperature. The fan should work before the arrow of the index of temperature of the engine on the panel of devices of the car will come nearer to sector of an overheat of a dial. If fan operation does not occur, check up serviceability of giving of pressure of a food on a corresponding wire of the fan and the relay (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head). Refusal of giving of a food can result выбивания from a safety lock, failure of the switch of ignition, malfunction of the relay or electroconducting damage. The probability of failure приводного the fan electromotor is not excluded also.

Removal

Models Astra without air central air
|
|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery (the engine Electric equipment see the Head) and take him aside from the polar plug.
- Disunite a contact socket of electroconducting of the fan and liberate a plait of wires from intermediate clamps.
|
- Turn out the top bolts of fastening of the fan to a radiator.
|
|
- Accurately lift an impellent compartment.
- Transfer the fan on a workbench, turn out the fixing screw, disunite a contact socket and remove from a frame the preliminary resistor.
|
- Turn out fixing screws (1) and remove from a frame вентиляторной assemblages приводной the electromotor and крыльчатку.
|
|
- In case of need give screws (2) and separate крыльчатку from the motor.
|
|
|
Models Zafira without air central air
|
|
- Remove a forward bumper (the Body see the Head).
- Disconnect from the fan electroconducting and liberate it from intermediate clamps.
- Turn out lateral bolts and, having lowered вентиляторную assemblage, cautiously take it from an impellent compartment.
- Transfer the fan on a workbench, release clamps and remove диффузор, turn out three fixing bolts and remove крыльчатку. Turn out the fixing screw, disunite a contact socket and remove from a frame the preliminary resistor. In case of need release fixture and remove the electromotor.

Models Astra with air central air
|
|
- Remove the storage battery with a basic arm.
- Remove assemblage of an air cleaner with an air line (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
- Remove a forward bumper (the Body see the Head).
- Empty cooling system (Routine maintenance see the Head).
- Disconnect electroconducting of the fan, the pressure and compressor K/V gauge. Also disunite a back socket from the module of management of system of the cooling located at the left under a forward spoiler. Give a fixing nut and disconnect from a mudguard the grounding tyre.
- Disconnect from a radiator the top and bottom hoses.

- Turn out the top bolts of fastening of the fan to a radiator.

|
- Lifting, cautiously liberate вентиляторную assemblage the fan from the bottom support and take it from an impellent compartment.
- Transfer the fan on a workbench, turn out the fixing screw, disunite a contact socket and remove from a frame the preliminary resistor.

- Turn out fixing screws (1) and remove from a frame вентиляторной assemblages приводной the electromotor and крыльчатку.
|
|
- In case of need give screws (2) and separate крыльчатку from the motor.
|
|
|
Models Zafira with air central air
|
|
- Remove assemblage of an air cleaner with an air line (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). Disconnect electroconducting from a measuring instrument of weight of air (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
- Release fixing a collar and disconnect a ventilation hose картера from a cover газораспределительного the mechanism.
- Having turned out bolts and having released clamps, remove from the panel передка the air resonator.
- Remove a forward bumper (the Body see the Head).

- Disconnect from the fan electroconducting and liberate it from intermediate clamps.
|
|
- Turn out fixing boats and take вентиляторную assemblage from an impellent compartment.
|
|
- Transfer the fan on a workbench, at a corresponding complete set remove a protective lattice, turn out fixing screws and remove вентиляторную assemblage. Disunite a contact socket and remove from a frame the preliminary resistor.
|
- In case of need give screws (2) and separate крыльчатку from the motor.
|
|
|
Diesel models
Models with engines of 1.7 l
|
|
- Remove the storage battery with a basic arm.
- Remove a forward bumper (the Body see the Head).
|
- Ослабьте fixing collars also disconnect from intercoolerа an inlet air line and an inlet air delivery sleeve.
|
|
- Release a collar and disconnect from intercoolerа the rest of an inlet air line. Take an air line aside and tie up it to кузовным to elements.
- Cock a lay brake, поддомкратьте the car and establish it on props. At a corresponding complete set remove protection картера.
- On the models equipped with a central air of air, disconnect the socket of electroconducting К/В located near to a small horn of a horn in the right part of a forward spoiler. In the same place disunite a contact socket of electroconducting of the gauge of pressure.
- Disunite a multicontact socket of the module of management of system of cooling in the left part of a spoiler. Disconnect from кузовного an element the grounding tyre.
- In case of need disconnect electroconducting of the additional fan located from below ahead of a radiator.

- Turn out fixing bolts (1) and, having lifted, accurately remove вентиляторную assemblage from a radiator and take it from an impellent compartment.

- On the models equipped with the additional electric fan, remove panels передка the resonator, disconnect conducting, lower assemblage of the additional fan and take it from under the car.
- Transfer the fan on a workbench, at a corresponding complete set remove a protective lattice, turn out fixing screws and remove вентиляторную assemblage. Disunite a contact socket and remove from a frame the preliminary resistor.

- In case of need give screws (2) and separate крыльчатку from the motor.

Models with engines of 2.0 l
|
|
- Remove a radiator in gathering with the fan (Removal and installation of a radiator of system of cooling see).
- Release latches of clamps and remove from a radiator a fan cover.
- Disunite a contact socket of electroconducting of the fan.
- Turn out fixing bolts and remove the fan.
- Turn out fixing bolts and remove крыльчатку.
- On the models equipped with the additional fan, remove a forward bumper (the Body see the Head), then disconnect electroconducting and give a bolt of fastening of a contact socket. Release fixing nuts and lower the fan downwards. Disconnect a lattice and remove the preliminary resistor.

Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
Having finished installation, fill system of cooling with a fresh mix (Routine maintenance see the Head) and check up it on presence of signs of development of leaks.
