Check

For performance of the given check the special diagnostic equipment and its performance is required will charge more correctly to experts of car-care centre.

Removal

Petrol models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Empty cooling system (Routine maintenance see the Head).

Models with engines SOHC

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove an air cleaner and the air line laid to the right of the engine (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
  2. Disconnect conducting from the gauge located on the inlet pipeline behind the generator.
  3. Turn out the gauge and remove it from the inlet pipeline. Remove a sealing ring, - at installation it is subject to replacement without fail.

Models with engines of 1.4 and 1.6 l DOHC

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove an air cleaner in gathering with an air line (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
  2. Disconnect electroconducting from the gauge of temperature established in the case of the thermostat on the right on the engine.
  3. Turn out the gauge from the case of the thermostat and remove it from the car.

Models with engines of 1.8 l

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the thermostat case (Removal, installation and check of serviceability of functioning of the thermostat see).
  2. Turn out and remove the temperature gauge.

Models with engines of 2.0 l

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove from the case of the thermostat the ignition module.
  2. Disconnect from the gauge electroconducting.
  3. Turn out the gauge and remove it from the case of the thermostat / of a flange of cooling.

Diesel models

Models with engines of 1.7 l

The temperature gauge is on the thermostat case in right (engines SOHC) / left (engines DOHC - see an illustration) parts of a head of cylinders.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Cock a lay brake, поддомкратьте redock of the car and establish it on props. At a corresponding complete set remove protection картера. Get under the gauge suitable drain capacity for gathering of a spilt cooling liquid.
  2. Wait full cooling of the engine, turn away a cover of a broad tank, then establish it back and hardly tighten, is should help to minimise liquid losses at gauge removal. Pick up approaching заглушку for закупоривания apertures under gauge installation.
  3. Remove a protective casing of the engine.
  4. Disconnect electroconducting from the temperature gauge, liberate it from intermediate clamps and separate from the thermostat case. For the purpose of minimisation of losses of a cooling liquid at once screw in an aperture the new gauge, or prepared in advance заглушку.

Models with engines of 2.0 l

On all engines of 2.0 l the temperature gauge is located from above on the thermostat case, in the right part of a head of cylinders.

Gauge dismantle is made in the manner similar described above for models, 1.7 l completed with engines (see above Model with engines 1.7).

Installation

All models

Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Do not forget to replace a sealing element/grease with hermetic a carving part of the gauge. The gauge tightening should be made with demanded effort.

In summary correct level of a cooling liquid (Routine maintenance see the Head) and check up the gauge on presence of signs of development of leaks.

Removal and installation

All models

The gauge is established in the bottom of a broad tank.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Wait full cooling of the engine, and turn away a cover of a broad tank for dump of residual pressure.
  2. Liberate a tank from basic arms, remove it and merge cooling liquid in suitable capacity.
  3. Disconnect electroconducting and remove the gauge-switch from a tank.
  4. Installation is made upside-down.

The module of management of system of cooling

Removal and installation

All models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery (the engine Electric equipment see the Head) and take him aside from the polar plug.
  2. Remove a forward bumper (the Body see the Head).
  1. The module is established at the left under a forward spoiler. Extend outside of a latch of clamps and disunite two contact sockets of electroconducting of the module.
  1. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the module from a forward spoiler.
  2. Installation is made upside-down.
