Removal and installation of the water pump

|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery (the engine Electric equipment see the Head).
- Empty cooling system (Routine maintenance see the Head).
- Remove газораспределительный a belt with a tension roller, on models DOHC remove a back cover of a belt (the Engine see the Head).

- Where it is required, mark position of a landing flange of the pump concerning a block surface, then turn out three bolts of fastening of the water pump (1).
|
|
- Take the pump from the landing nest in the block (engines of 1.6 l SOHC and 2.0 l DOHC), or remove it from the block (engines 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 l DOHC), - in case of need обстучав it preliminary a hammer with soft brisk.
- Remove a sealing ring of the pump, - at installation it is subject to replacement without fail.

The pump is not subject to regenerative repair and in case of failure is replaced with the new.
Diesel models
|
|
- Cock a lay brake, поддомкратьте the car and establish it on props. At a corresponding complete set remove protection картера.
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery (the engine Electric equipment see the Head).
- Remove a protective casing of the engine and empty cooling system (Routine maintenance see the Head).
- Remove an air cleaner in gathering with the gauge of a measuring instrument of weight of air and an inlet air line (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
- On engines of 1.7 l DOHC and 2.0 l remove a belt of a drive of auxiliary units (Routine maintenance see the Head), - before removal приводного a belt ослабьте bolts of fastening of a pulley of the pump.
- On engines of 1.7 l SOHC and 2.0 l remove газораспределительный a belt with a tension roller (the Engine see the Head), - the given operation demands posting of the power unit and removal from the block of cylinders of the right support of its suspension bracket with the arm.

- On engines of 1.7 l DOHC and 2.0 l, keeping a pump pulley motionlessly (take advantage of a key for removal of the oil filter, or old приводным a belt), turn out fixing bolts and remove a pulley with приводного a pump flange.

- Turn out bolts of fastening of the water pump.

- Remove a sealing lining / a ring, - at installation the sealing element is subject to replacement without fail.

Installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components.

- Track, that interfaced surface of components before installation have been smoothed carefully out and are dry wiped. On petrol models track correctness of combination of the landing labels / of regular adjusting labels put in the course of dismantle. Fixing bolts tighten with demanded effort.

Before installation it is necessary to grease a sealing ring with silicone greasing slightly. |
- In summary make refuelling of system of cooling and removal from it air (Routine maintenance see the Head), connect a negative wire to the battery, start the engine and check up it on presence of signs of development of leaks of a cooling liquid.
