Removal and installation of the heat exchanger of a heater

Cars considered in the present Management are equipped by system of the additional safety SRS more known as a pillow of safety. Before to perform any works near to assemblage of a pillow or a steering column, without fail disconnect system in order to avoid reception of traumas as a result of its casual operation (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head). Isolation and contact sockets of electroconducting of chain SRS are painted in bright yellow colour. It is not necessary to connect any diagnostic devices to the given chain!

Air central air constantly is under a high pressure. At all do not disconnect refrigerator lines and do not remove any components of system, preliminary without having executed a discharge of last. The discharge of a central air of air should be made by forces of the skilled expert in the conditions of a car-care centre workshop. At рассоединении refrigerator lines necessarily put on goggles!

Do not suppose antifreeze hit on open sites of a body and the painted surfaces of the car. Casually got splashes immediately wash off a plentiful quantity of water. Remember that antifreeze is extremely a toxic liquid and its hit in an organism even in small amounts is fraught with the most serious consequences (up to a lethal outcome). Never leave antifreeze stored in leaky closed container and immediately collect cooling liquid spilt on a floor. Remember that the sweetish smell of antifreeze can draw to itself attention of children and animals. About ways recyclings of the fulfilled cooling liquid consult at any station of car-care centre. In many regions of the world special points on any reception of working off are equipped. At all do not merge an old cooling liquid in the water drain and on the earth! Recently nontoxical grades of antifreeze are developed, however they also are subject to recycling in the organised order.

Before to start procedure performance, wait full cooling of the engine.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Empty cooling system (Routine maintenance see the Head).

In an impellent compartment disconnect hoses of a heater from heat exchanger branch pipes, — preliminary mark hoses for the purpose of a guarantee of correctness of their connection at assemblage.

Firm hoses are equipped by sockets of fast joining.

In the presence of access to a source of compressed air, blow the heat exchanger of a heater for the purpose of removal from it the rests of a cooling liquid in order to avoid hit on a carpet covering of salon at heat exchanger removal. Connect to one of unions of branch pipes a hose which second end lower in suitable capacity. To the free union submit air, - in the absence of access to a source of compressed air muffle unions.

On equipped К/В models cock a lay brake, поддомкратьте redock of the car and establish it on props, at a corresponding complete set remove protection картера. Remove a back support of the engine (the Engine see the Head).

Turn out two fixing bolts and remove from the floor panel intended for condensate tap drainage knot.

Dismantle of drainage knot is possible and without preliminary removal of a support, however work thus essentially becomes complicated.

Remove the central console (the Body see the Head). Extend forward and remove sleeves of giving of air in back foot wells.

On models Zafira before removal of air lines give bolts of fastening of racks.

Release 9 clamps of fastening of a cover to the main case of a heater. Pay attention that on some models besides clamps are used also two fixing bolts.

Lower a cover.

On equipped К/В models disconnect electroconducting from the valve отсечки a cooling liquid.

Release fixing collars and disconnect hoses охладительного a path (model without К/В) / the valve отсечки (models with К/В) from the heater heat exchanger.

Take the heat exchanger from the heater case.

Remove sealing rings, - at ring installation are subject to replacement without fail. Check up a condition of sockets of fast joining, - defective components replace.

Installation

Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Before installation grease new sealing rings with a small amount of silicone greasing. On models Zafira track reliability of landing of hoses on the unions on a partition of an impellent compartment, - at connection of hoses support their handle of a hammer.
In summary make refuelling of system of cooling (Routine maintenance see the Head). Check up reliability of fixing штуцерных sockets of fast joining, - the green lock ring should be planted freely.
