Removal and installation of the module of ignition

Removal

Engines of 1.6 l SOHC and 2.0 litres DOHC

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  1. Disconnect from the module of ignition electroconducting and high-voltage wires. Conclusions of the module and a plait wire are numbered that excludes probability of wrong connection at installation.

    A — the ignition Module (the engine of 1.6 l SOHC)
    B — the ignition Module (the engine of 2.0 l DOHC)

  1. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the module of ignition from a head of cylinders.

Engines 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 l DOHC

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Give fixing bolts, uncover маслозаливной mouths a protective casing of the engine.
  1. The module is established from above on a head, between inlet and final camshafts, - disconnect electroconducting from a module left-hand side.

    Socket of electroconducting-2 modules of ignition-3 (engines 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 l DOHC)

  1. Turn out fixing screws and remove the module, - on engines of 1.4 and 1.6 l the left bolt of fastening is used also for interference suppressor fixing. If the module "has become attached" and does not give in to removal, screw in its top apertures pair of bolts М8 and separate assemblage from candles, having pulled nippers for their heads.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Track, that all fixture has been tightened with demanded effort.
  2. On engines of 1.6 l SOHC and 2.0 l DOHC according to numbering attach to the conclusions to module VV electroconducting.
  3. Attach to the module electroconducting.
  4. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
