The general information

The system of ignition of the petrol engine is integrated with system of injection of fuel and copes the uniform block of electronic control ECM (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

The system of ignition and fuel system have the general diagnostic system intended for revealing of infringements, preservations of codes of malfunctions and search of causes of failures. At occurrence of malfunction the management module writes down in memory of the processor.

The reason of failures in engine work, it is possible to localise by the data read-out, stored in memory of the block of self-diagnostics ECM more often. After refusal will be identified, it is possible to pass to performance of checks of a condition and serviceability of functioning of corresponding knots and components. Remember that it is not enough visual check of a condition of electroconducting and its contact sockets, - necessarily consider the information stored in memory of the module of management.

Preliminary checks

If malfunction has arisen soon after service of any knot, first of all, carefully check up a corresponding element. Probably, the reason is covered in negligence of installation of a component or connection to it of a contact socket of electroconducting.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. At investigation of the reasons of falling of capacity developed by the engine in addition to the checks listed more low check up also компрессионное pressure in cylinders (the Engine see the Head).   2. Remember that after reading of codes of malfunctions memory of the module should be cleared. Memory clearing is made by means of the same device which is used at reading of codes (see System of onboard self-diagnostics OBD - the general information).
  3. Open a cowl and check up reliability of fixing of tips of wires on polar plugs of the storage battery.   6.   8. Check up a condition and reliability of fixing of all accessible contact sockets. All clamps should be established. At revealing on an internal surface of a socket of products of oxidation (white or green adjournment, and also traces of corrosion of metal) or signs of excessive pollution, disconnect it from the corresponding plug and carefully smooth out, it is desirable with application any of special cleaners, - ask in shops of automobile accessories. Seriously damaged sockets are subject to replacement, - sometimes in the complete set with a plait of the electroconducting brought to it.
  9. Having removed all traces of oxidation and a dirt, fill a socket with preserving greasing (consult in a car-care centre workshop) and establish on a place, - track reliability of fixing of a socket.
  10.   14. Check up correctness of a lining and adjustment of a cable of gas (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). The cable should not be bent strongly.   16. Start the engine and leave its working on single turns.

At performance of any works in an impellent compartment at the working engine observe extreme care.   1. Moving from an air inlet to an air cleaner and further to the throttle case, be convinced of absence of signs of development of leaks in an inlet air path (including vacuum hoses).
