Removal, check of a condition and installation of a camshaft from the case газораспределительного the mechanism

Removal

Removal from application at-sposoblenija Opel № MKM-891

In the presence of special adaptation Opel № MKM-891 the camshaft can be removed from the engine without preliminary dismantle of the case газораспределительного the mechanism. The adaptation is established on the mechanism case at the removed cover of the last (Removal and cover installation газораспределительного the mechanism see) and allows to make отжимание hydraulic jacks клапанных backlashes. Further dismantle of a cogwheel of a shaft (Removal and installation натяжителя газораспределительного a belt see and cogwheels of drive ГРМ), a face cover and a persistent plate (the following paragraph see) is made. Now the shaft can be taken from the case through an aperture in its left end face.

Before adaptation installation develop a cranked shaft on 90 ° from position ВМТ (Check компрессионного pressure in cylinders see) that will allow to prevent risk of damage of the engine as a result of input of valves in contact to the bottoms of pistons.

Removal without application of the special adaptation

Without application of the special adaptation the camshaft can be removed from the engine only in gathering with the case газораспределительного the mechanism. As the case the same bolts, as a head of cylinders, is meant as well dismantle of last (Removal and installation of a head of cylinders see).

Theoretically there is a possibility of removal of a shaft with the case with оставлением heads on the block, however it is connected with risk of damage of a sealing lining. At decision-making on performance of works by such variant address to materials Removal and pallet installation картера, having taken into consideration the fact of absence of necessity of removal of the inlet pipeline and a final collector. Remember thus that after installation of assemblage of a camshaft with the case газораспределительного the mechanism there can be a requirement for replacement of a sealing lining of a head that will bring to nothing all efforts on (by the way, rather insignificant) economy of time.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Having removed the case газораспределительного the mechanism with the camshaft established in it, turn out fixing bolts and remove the ignition module.
  1. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the face cover established on the left side of the case газораспределительного of the mechanism. Remove from the case a sealing ring, — can throw out it as at assemblage the ring is subject to replacement without fail.
  1. Measure size axial люфта a camshaft, filling edges measuring щупа between a persistent plate (1) and shaft. If the result of measurement falls outside the limits an admissible range (Specifications see), the persistent plate should be replaced. Turn out two fixing bolts and take a persistent plate from the case, — try to remember adjusting position of components.
  1. Cautiously take a shaft from the case, — try not to damage подшипниковые necks and working surfaces of cams.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Measure height (I) case газораспределительного the mechanism from an interfaced surface to an interfaced surface. If the result of measurement makes less than 65 mm, replace the case.
  1. Having removed a shaft, study a condition of working surfaces of bearings of sliding in case beds. In case of revealing of signs of obvious deterioration or задиров, the case is subject to replacement, — check up also a condition of corresponding necks of a shaft.

Check up also passableness provided in the case маслостоков.

  1. Actually the shaft should not have traces of scratches on necks and working surfaces of cams. If this sort of defects take place, the shaft also is subject to replacement. In case of revealing задиров on working surfaces of cams, study a condition of levers of a drive of corresponding valves (Removal, check of a condition and installation of components of a drive of valves see).
  2. Make sure of absence of signs of deterioration or development of a persistent plate of a camshaft, in case of need replace a plate.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By means of a screw-driver accurately take an old epiploon from the landing nest in the case газораспределительного the mechanism. Check up cleanliness of walls of a landing nest, then запрессуйте in it a new epiploon (sealing sponges inside) заподлицо with an external surface of the case.
  2. Plentifully grease a camshaft, basic bearings of the case and an epiploon sponge with pure impellent oil, then accurately fill a shaft in the case, — try not to damage cams, necks and epiploon sponges.
  3. Fill on the regular place a persistent plate, — track correctness of its combination with проточкой in a shaft pin. Tighten fixing bolts with demanded effort. Check up size axial люфта a shaft (see above).
  4. Establish a new sealing ring on pure, dry wiped back surface of the case. Establish a face cover and tighten bolts of its fastening with demanded effort.
  5. Establish on the case the ignition module.
  6. If removal was made with adaptation Vauxhall application, remove it and establish into place a camshaft cogwheel. Return a cranked shaft in position ВМТ and establish газораспределительный a belt (Removal and installation of a belt of drive ГРМ and Removal and installation натяжителя газораспределительного a belt and cogwheels of drive ГРМ see).
  7. If the adaptation was not applied, establish the case газораспределительного the mechanism with the shaft enclosed in it on the place and fix its bolts of a head of cylinders (Removal and installation of a head of cylinders see).
