System of antiblocking of brakes (ABS) and антипробуксовочная system (TCS) - the general information and codes of malfunctions

The general information

The system of antiblocking of brakes (ABS) is included into a standard complete set of all considered models. The antiprobuksovochnaja system (TCS) as an additional complete set can be established on l model 2.0.

When the vehicle is equipped by brake system of usual type, sharp squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake leads to blocking of wheels. Coupling of a protector with a road covering is thus broken, and the car can go юзом, losing controllability. The system of antiblocking of brakes (ABS) prevents premature blocking of wheels, continuously operating speed of their rotation during braking at the expense of modulations of pressure of a hydraulic liquid in each of brake mechanisms.

ABS consists of two basic subsystems: electric and hydraulic. Four gauges of speed of rotation of wheels, the processor of management and the complete set of connecting electroconducting enter into an electric part of system. The hydraulic part includes the pressure modulator, supports of disk brake mechanisms and connecting components hydraulic lines.

Normally opened in the absence of signs of blocking of wheels inlet э/м the valve (EV) provides giving of full hydraulic pressure to brake mechanisms of wheels. The mode of "pressure keeping» joins at giving on the food valve. Demanded pressure decrease is provided at the expense of operation final (AV) and inlet (EV) valves, and also the returnable pump (RFP).

The brake liquid arrives in the accumulator and is pumped over by the returnable pump (RFP) through демпферную the chamber (D) back in ГТЦ that allows to smooth pressure peaks, reducing thereby a noise background. The control valves included in parallel to valve EV provide possibility of fast pressure decrease at отпускании a brake pedal.

The principle of functioning of system is simple enough. Each of wheels is equipped by the individual gauge of turns. The gauge consists of a rotor (a ring with teeth in regular intervals located on its perimetre) and a sensitive element in a kind подмагниченной coils. The sensitive element of the gauge fixes the moments of passage by it teeths of a rotor and will transform the received information to the electric signals continuously transferred to the processor of management ABS. By results of processing of arriving signals the processor receives the information on relative speed of rotation of each of wheels. While all four wheels rotate with identical frequency, ABS stays in a passive condition. As soon as any of wheels starts to be blocked, the processor fixes change of an entering signal and develops a command on operation of the modulator instantly dumping pressure of a hydraulic liquid in the brake mechanism of the corresponding wheel (see Illustrations the Principle of functioning ABS of a brake contour of a parallel configuration and the Principle of functioning ABS of a brake contour of a diagonal configuration). At once after restoration of normal rotation of a wheel, the processor stops modulator functioning.

On the models equipped with system TCS, the additional set of operating electromagnetic valves is included in a hydraulic contour. This system operates at speeds of movement to 60 km/h. Management is made on the basis of the signals arriving on the block of management from wheel gauges. As soon as any of driving wheels starts to lose coupling with a road covering, the management block gives out a command on it притормаживание that excludes proslipping of wheels at трогании from the car from a place and sharp accelerations.

For the purpose of influence prevention on functioning ABS and TCS false signals, the special contour of safety is built in system of their management. At receipt on the block of management of an inadequate signal, and also at excessive falling of level of pressure of a food, the system is automatically disconnected, and on the panel of devices control lamp ABS (the Operation manual see the Head) lights up. The brake system thus continues to function in a usual mode.

Actually the scheme of functioning of systems ABS and TCS is much more difficult, than it can seem, therefore composers of the present Management do not recommend to owners of cars to make attempt of independent performance of repair of system. In case of occurrence of malfunctions it will be most reasonable to address to experts of car-care centre where corresponding diagnostics will be made with application сканерного the input reader connected to socket DLC (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

Reading of codes of malfunctions ABS

At engine start control lamp ABS on an instrument guard of the car should join quickly and almost at once again to go out. If because of any infringement the lamp remains included after realisation of start of the engine, processor ABS writes down a corresponding digital code in memory of the block of self-diagnostics. Reading of codes is made by means of the special scanner connected to a 16-contact diagnostic socket, located under a forward overlay of a threshold of a driver's door of the car. In absence near at hand the scanner the car should be driven away for reading of memory and performance of necessary regenerative repair on a car repair shop. It is necessary to charge performance of any regenerative repair to experts of car-care centre.

Clearing of memory of processor ABS

After elimination of the revealed malfunctions in system memory of the processor should be cleared. For memory clearing the scanner at which absence near at hand the car should be driven away on a car repair shop again is required.
