Removal and installation of cables of a drive of a lay brake

Removal

On models with drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels приводной the cable consists of four sections: a short lobby (primary), connecting a control lever with a jack plate; two main cables (the main section), the jack connecting a plate with back cables and two short cables connecting the main cables with back boots of brake mechanisms. On models with disk mechanisms the second section is connected directly to executive levers of supports and necessity for back short cables disappears. Each section can be removed in an individual order.

Forward section

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Prop up forward wheels противооткатными boots, поддомкратьте a back of the car and establish it on props. Completely release a lay brake.
  2. Remove the central console (the Body see the Head).
  1. Completely release an adjusting nut in a forward part of the basis of a control lever of a lay brake.

  1. In case of need disconnect a cable from directing on a basis plate.
  2. Under the car disconnect electroconducting from a ljambda-probe.
  3. Remove a reception pipe and intermediate section of system of release of the fulfilled gases (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). Remove подвесы the central part of system of release from basic arms on the car bottom.
  4. Give fixing nuts and remove from the bottom of the car a thermofilter.
  5. Having developed on 90 °, disconnect a forward cable from a jack plate.
  6. Liberate a rubber sealing element from a plate of the basis of the lever and involve a cable in car salon. Remove a sealing element.

The main section

The main section consists of two cables and a jack plate.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Prop up forward wheels противооткатными boots, поддомкратьте a back of the car and establish it on props. Completely release a lay brake.
  2. Remove the central cover of the console and liberate from the console a protective cover of the lever of a lay brake. For the purpose of providing of access to an adjusting nut lift a cover upwards.
  3. A little release a nut, having provided a cable a necessary weak point.
  4. On models with drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels disconnect tips of both cables of the main section from short back cables. On models with disk back brake mechanisms, having wrung out a screw-driver executive levers of supports, disconnect from them tips of the main cables, remove clamps and liberate covers of cables from basic arms on supports.
  5. Under the car disconnect electroconducting from a ljambda-probe.
  6. Remove a reception pipe and intermediate section of system of release of the fulfilled gases (see the Head of the Power supply system and release). Remove подвесы the central part of system of release from basic arms on the car bottom.
  1. Give fixing nuts and remove from the bottom of the car a thermofilter.
  1. Having developed on 90 °, disconnect a forward cable from an equalizer plate.

  1. Liberate cables of the main section from basic arms on a back beam and a fuel tank and take them from under the car.

Back cables (drum-type back brake mechanisms)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Prop up forward wheels противооткатными boots, поддомкратьте a back of the car and establish it on props. Completely release a lay brake. Remove a corresponding back wheel.
  2. Remove back brake boots (Replacement of boots of drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels see).

  1. Remove from a brake board a lock bracket and extend a cable forward.

  1. Disconnect a back cable from a tip of a corresponding cable of the main section.

Installation

Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of dismantle of components.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. In summary make cable adjustment (Adjustment of a drive of a lay brake see). Make sure of reliability of fastening of tips of cables to компенсаторной to a plate. Track correctness of landing of a protective sleeve of a forward cable.
